Experience

I am a pre-service teacher at Penn State with four years of training in teaching methods and assessment in numerous subjects. Though I am currently a senior, I will be taking a fifth year to participate in a year-long student teaching program through the State College Area School District for the 2017-2018 school year. I have been a private tutor for students in 4th through 12th grade in the past, including students of diverse needs. I have been trained through my coursework to address the needs of students with unique educational challenges, including students with reading disabilities, English Language Learners, and Gifted students. I have worked with The Discovery Space family science museum in developing STEM curriculum and project-based learning. I have lived abroad and am fluent in French. My SAT score was in the top 98th percentile and I earned 30+ credits at Penn State through the Advanced Placement (AP) program.
