Experience
I taught Latin (I, II, III) and English literature (9th-12th) for two years at the now defunct WoodRose Preparatory school in Concord, CA. In addition, I provided tutoring in Latin for two girls aged 7-10 (at the time we started) from 2007 to 2010. My expertise is in Roman History but, as a graduate student I have taken numerous courses in world history from religion in southeast Asia, pre-colonial and colonial Latin America, as well as medieval Europe, early modern Europe, ancient Greek history, the ancient Near East and Islam. In addition, I have been a teaching assistant at the Pennsylvania State University for Western Civilization (1 and 2), as well modern US History (21) and History of Nazism and Fascism (145). I am a native french speaker and hold a baccalauréat with an emphasis on science. Finally, I have achieved tremendous academic success. At the University of California, Santa Barbara, I received the Dumas Prize for best paper in Greek History. At the University of Leeds, I was awarded a full fellowship to go study at the Central European University in Budapest. This success continued at the Pennsylvania State University where I was awarded a semester residency at the Institute for Arts and Humanities, and recently, I was awarded the Waddell-Biggart Fellowship for the college of Liberal Arts.
